Al-Bidayah wa An-Nihayah (7 Volume Collection, Hardcover) – The Beginning and the End by Ibn Kathir

Al-Bidayah wa An-Nihayah, The Beginning and the End, is Imam Ibn Kathir's monumental history of the world as told through authentic Islamic sources. This seven-volume English collection carries the reader from the beginning of creation through the lives of the prophets, the life of the Messenger ﷺ, and on into the turbulent years that followed his passing.

Why This Collection Matters

Ibn Kathir is the historian Muslims return to because he applied the standards of hadith criticism to history, separating what is established from what was merely passed along. Reading these volumes in sequence gives something no single book can, a continuous account of how the world began, how the prophets were sent, and how the community the Prophet ﷺ left behind came to be what it is.

Availability

Only five complete sets are available. Buying the collection is also cheaper than buying the seven volumes individually, and it ships as a single parcel.
